Plans continue on our 40th reunion. The committee has decided the following:

We are trying to have everything at the same hotel for convenience.
We are still asking people to save the date: October 16 for the dinner dance.
We are in the process of negotiating the best deal for the hotel, etc. and will have that info shortly to update this site.
IMPORTANT: In the meantime, we are asking people to let us know asap whether they will be coming (with spouse?) and to send us a deposit of $25 with checks made out to Class of 1964 Reunion to be used for holding the site and applied against their Saturday night ticket cost. Also, we need to know whether they will require a hotel room and for how many nights. We will have a PO Box address shortly for the checks, etc.

40TH REUNION - MVHS CLASS OF '66
If you're in the Northern Virginia area on August 5 around 5 pm, please join us at the home of Carol Brown Lavoy, 8409 Queen Elizabeth Blvd, Annandale (near Braddock Rd and the Beltway). Sorry for the short notice, but it's very casual and impromptu. We've already heard from more than 30 classmates who are excited about the evening.
Since there was no group stepping forward to plan a formal reunion we thought it would be nice to see how many of our classmates would join us for a spur-of-the-moment reunion. No fees, just a fun evening of catching up and renewing friendships.

Their generosity is greatly appreciated. Everyone who attended the reunion was very pleased with the service that we received at the Old Town Radisson Hotel. The hotel facilities and personnel were very accommodating. This was an excellent venue for the reunion. I would recommend it for the reunion activities of other MVHS classes who are looking for a location to hold their reunion activities.

I'm trying to reach all Mount Vernon High School Class of '74 alumns to reunite once again this fall. I wanted to update everyone on the reunion. As many know we had to cancel the classmate only event at The Wharf due to the venue not capping another reunion. We weren't sure if we would be able to find another place so close to the date but Karol (Works) Moore and Mike Moore have located the perfect venue for Friday night. I know many were coming in on Friday to attend both events so I wanted to get this letter out to you soon of the changes. The new location is Grevey's Sports Bar 8130 Arlington Boulevard Falls Church, VA 22042-1025 (703) 560-8530. The time is still 7pm to 11pm and very casual dress so wear shorts if you like.As for Saturday everything is still the same but we have lowered the dress code to anything but shorts or flip flops per venue request.

The Class of 1985 will be holding a 25 year reunion on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from noon to 6 pm at Ft. Hunt Park in Alexandria, VA. The reunion will be held rain or shine at Pavilion A just as you enter the park. Lunch will be available beginning at 1 pm - fresh smoked BBQ pork, vegetarian option, side dishes and refreshments will be served. All classmates are asked to bring a dessert to share with others - a prize will be awarded for the best dessert!
